Meals on Wheels Southwest OH & Northern KY is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our tax ID number is 31-0537097. Our legal name is Wesley Community Services, and we started doing business as Meals on in March 2020.
Our centerpiece service is, of course, Home Delivered Meals. We provide food to seniors so they can age in a place where they feel most comfortable and connected to their community. However, we are about so much more because when we deliver meals, we get the chance to check in with our seniors, chat for a few minutes, and make sure they are OK.
Through our Pet Support Program (available to those who participate in the Meals on Wheels program), we deliver dog and cat food, along with vouchers for vet services.
Our Area Senior Services programs provide additional support, including: Transportation, Personal Financial Management, & Senior Care Coordination--all with the goal of helping seniors age happily in their homes.
A warm, friendly atmosphere is what draws older adults to our OTR Senior Center. Many local seniors go there everyday for companionship and friendship.
Building Coordinators are Social Workers who help older adults live in senior housing complexes across the Greater Cincinnati Region.
Congregate Meals are community meals served in 8 locations across Hamilton County.
The availability of the variety of these wrap-around services and resources are critical, as many of our seniors are marginalized, have disabilities, or are living with chronic health conditions. Most are low-income or living below the poverty line.
We serve 10,000 seniors annually in 11 counties. Our service area includes Hamilton, Butler and Clermont counties in Ohio, and the Kentucky counties of Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Carroll, Owen, Grant and Pendleton.
We delivered 1.4 million meals in 2021, all assembled in our commercial-grade kitchen. In addition to our regular menu items, we also prepare special meals for those seniors with certain health concerns, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. We are proud to provide our seniors menus with more than 30 meal options!

As an official Meals on Wheels America partner, we benefit from being a part of a powerful national network that fights senior hunger and advocates for our elders, yet all donations and gifts stay locally where we serve. In addition, we share best practices through the national organization and often adapt their educational and marketing materials, making us more efficient while lowering expenses.
We ascribe to the highest standards of financial accountability, and as a fundraising organization, we make every effort to ensure maximum impact of your financial investment in our programs. We rely on generous individuals, foundations, corporate sponsorships, private foundations, clubs, and leaders in the community to provide support that enables us to feed seniors in our 11-county footprint. All 100 percent of charitable giving stays in the region.
In addition to donations, there are various other funding sources, including the Hamilton County (Ohio) Elderly Services Tax Levy, federal funding under the Older Americans Act, the City of Cincinnati and other local governments, Ohio Department of Aging, Medicaid, county payroll taxes in Northern Kentucky, and the Northern Kentucky Area Development District. There is also a private payment option for clients and families.
